Every day we share a list of the best online performance to watch right away. But occasionally there are must-see virtual events that require advance registration—almost a nostalgic throwback to the pre-COVID days of buying tickets. We just heard about two major happenings that you need to sign up for right now to watch later:

The Old Vic: Lungs
Sunday, June 28 to Friday, July 4
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, June 10 at 7 a.m. ET
Cost: $12 to $80
Register in advance to find out when tickets go on sale.
Last year, London’s lauded Old Vic presented a critically acclaimed mounting of Lungs about a couple, played by The Crown costars Claire Foy and Matt Smith, grappling with the ethical implications of bringing a child into our imperiled world. Written by Duncan Macmillan and directed by Tony winner Matthew Warchus, that production had been scheduled to run at the Brooklyn Academy of Music this spring. Instead, the theatre is remounting it to kick off its Old Vic: In Camera series, showcasing socially distanced performances of plays live-streamed from its stage without an audience. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, June 10 at 7 a.m. ET. Each performance will accommodate up to 1,000 viewers, and tickets will range from £10 to £65, approximately $12 to $80.
