Theater of War Productions: The Long-Term Care Trilogy: The King Lear Project
Live-streaming Friday, October 28 at 7 p.m. ET for FREE but advance registration is required
Theater of War Productions, a company that uses classical texts to examine contemporary issues, is presenting The Long-Term Care Trilogy throughout the week, which wraps up on Friday with The King Lear Project. Canadian politician Adrienne Clarkson, Oscar-nominated actor David Strathairn and other public figures will read scenes from Shakespeare’s heartbreaking tragedy, followed by a facilitated town hall-style discussion about the challenges of caring our elders.

Red Bull Theater: The Relapse Starring Michael Urie
On Monday, NYC’s Red Bull Theater presented an in-person reading of The Relapse, and you can watch a recording through Sunday. Subtitled “Virtue in Danger,” John Vanbrugh’s riotous Restoration romp centers on multiple philandering lovers, including the flamboyant Lord Foppington (the always hilarious Michael Urie). Cutups Arnie Burton, Stephen DeRosa, Jacob Ming-Trent and Reg Rogers costar.
