Great Performances: NY Phil Reopening of David Geffen Hall
Premiering on TV on PBS Thirteen on Friday, November 4 at 9 p.m. ET, then streaming online for FREE
Last month, the amazing musicians of the New York Philharmonic returned to their Lincoln Center home, which reopened after a multiyear, $550 million renovation. This special was recorded live on October 28 and gives viewers a peek at the ensemble’s glorious new surroundings. Led by music director Jaap van Zweden, the 90-minute concert features a performance of Beethoven’s exhilarating “Ode to Joy” along with a world premiere by Puerto Rican composer Angélica Negrón celebrating the ritual of gathering to experience art. If you can’t watch the program in real time, it will stream online until Friday, December 2.

The Wilma Theater: Those With 2 Clocks
Philadelphia’s lauded Wilma Theater, which premiered the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Fat Ham, recently presented an in-person production of Those with 2 Clocks, and a recording is available to stream through Sunday. The genre-defying evening fuses sketch, drag and cabaret performances for a comedic takedown of the patriarchy that climaxes in a subversive audience party. Watch with a cocktail in hand!
