Memphis

Catch the Tony Award-winning musical Memphis, which was recorded live on stage in 2012. Tony nominee Chad Kimball stars as a young white deejay in the 1950s who falls in love with rock ‘n’ roll and a blazing Black singer, played by Tony nominee Montego Glover. James Monroe Iglehart costars in this exhilarating celebration of a cultural revolution.

National Theatre at Home: Grenfell: in the words of survivors

In 2020, London’s lauded National Theatre launched its own streaming service featuring professional stage captures of its productions. While you can buy a subscription, shows are also available to rent individually. New to the roster is Grenfell: in the words of survivors, a searing docudrama about the Grenfell Tower fire in London, which killed dozens of people and could have been prevented. A 72-hour rental costs $10 and captions are available. Prefer to see the show in person? It’s coming to Brooklyn’s St. Ann’s Warehouse in April. It’s just one of many fantastic National Theatre shows you can stream, so be sure to browse the entire list.
