The Huntington: The Heart Sellers
After earning rave reviews for its in-person run at Boston’s Huntington theatre last fall, Lloyd Suh’s moving two-hander The Heart Sellers is available to stream. The tale of two Asian immigrants who strike up a friendship at the grocery store on Thanksgiving 1973, it’s a tender and vivid exploration of assimilation, loneliness and longing. National Theatre at Home: Kerry Jackson
In 2020, London’s lauded National Theatre launched its own streaming service featuring professional stage captures of its productions. While you can buy a subscription, shows are also available to rent individually. New to the roster is Kerry Jackson, April De Angelis’ class comedy starring British TV star Fay Ripley (Cold Feet) as a conservative aspiring restaurateur whose long-held views are challenged by her staff and clientele.
