Philadelphia’s Wilma Theater is live-streaming its acclaimed in-person production of My Mama and the Full-Scale Invasion, Ukrainian playwright Sasha Denisova’s fantastical meditation on the Russo-Ukrainian War inspired by Zoom chats with her octogenarian mother. As the conflict escalates, a concerned daughter exiled in another country worries about her family in Kyiv and copes with the stress by imagining her mom strategizing with President Volodymyr Zelensky, combatting Russian drones with jars of pickles and arguing with God. Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company coproduces this rolling world premiere, which is being broadcast by The League of Live Stream Theater.
