Even though in-person theatre and dance are back in full swing, in the name of accessibility we’re continuing to round up performances to watch online from the comfort of home. Our curated list spotlights the five best options to stream this weekend, Friday, April 4 to Sunday, April 6, for free or at low cost.

Live From 54 Below: 54 Does 54: The 54 Below Staff Show

Live-streaming on Saturday, April 5 at 9:45 p.m. ET for $29.

The cabaret haven spotlights its quadruple-threat staffers in this concert performed by its servers, managers, programmers, marketers, cooks and other employees. Live-streaming from 54 Below’s swanky stage. If you prefer to attend in person, click here for info.

American Masters: LIZA: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story

A star so legendary she’s often identified solely by her first name, Liza Minnelli has an EGOT, legions of fans and an incredible backstory as the daughter of Hollywood icons Judy Garland and director Vincente Minnelli. Bruce David Klein’s new documentary delves into Liza’s dramatic life, from her early years on stage to Hollywood superstardom, from nights at Studio 54 to her multiple marriages and high-profile romances. In addition to Liza herself, interviewees include many of her closest friends and collaborators (Michael Feinstein, Ben Vereen, Mia Farrow, the late Chita Rivera) and there are clips from her many triumphant projects, such as Cabaret and Liza with a Z.

Marquee TV: Macbeth Starring David Tennant and Cush Jumbo

David Tennant and Cush Jumbo embody Shakespeare’s bloody ambitious couple in this critically acclaimed mounting of Macbeth, which is now streaming on Marquee TV. Directed by Max Webster and filmed live onstage at Donmar Warehouse, this is a truly chilling take on the Bard’s tragedy featuring a spare Gothic vibe and immersive sound design. You need to be a Marquee subscriber to watch, but with myriad international theatre, opera and ballet performances, it’s a deal at $10 a month.

Funny Girl Starring Sheridan Smith

British stage star Sheridan Smith headlines Menier Chocolate Factory’s acclaimed revival of Funny Girl, which was recorded live onstage at Manchester’s Palace Theatre in 2017. Very loosely inspired by the life and career of comedian Fanny Brice, the musical isn’t meant to be a documentary. Instead, it’s a showcase for a performer with powerhouse pipes as she belts out iconic musical numbers by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill, including “People,” “I’m the Greatest Star” and “Don’t Rain On My Parade.”
