All theatre is for everyone! But if the man in your life isn’t a fan, here are productions he may actually enjoy

Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez’s blasphemous blockbuster about the misadventures of two Mormon missionaries in Ugandan manages to be hilarious, irreverent and uplifting all at once. Fans of the crass humor in Parker and Stone’s unstoppable animated series South Park will be instant converts to this musical, which delivers dirty jokes, obscene gestures and a merciless satire of religion with catchy tunes and palpable joy.

Chicago

Dead Outlaw

This gleefully morbid musical is based on the insane true story of Elmer McCurdy, a turn-of-the-20th-century outlaw whose mummified body became a sideshow attraction that ended up in a horror ride in a California amusement park. The show traces McCurdy’s jaw-dropping journey, before and after his demise. It’s a high-spirited hoot full of dark humor and kick-ass rock-folk songs by David Yazbek and Erik Della Penna.

Glengarry Glen Ross

Palace Theatre, 160 West 47th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues

Closes June 28. The show is occasionally available at our TKTS Booths.

You only have a few more weeks to catch this starry revival of David Mamet’s profanity-and-laugh-filled tragedy about a ruthless real estate office where the salesmen go for glory or go home. Succession‘s Kieran Culkin, Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr headline this tale of machismo run amok.

Hamilton
