Accessibility Program for Students

For students who are hard of hearing or deaf, TDF simultaneously provides sign language interpreting and open captioning. For students with low vision or are blind, TDF provides live audio description.

Veterans Theatregoing

TDF partners exclusively with veteran group organizations in the city who distribute a limited number of tickets to Broadway shows at no cost to their constituents.

Theatre Access NYC

Theatre Access NYC is brought to you by TDF (Theatre Development Fund) and The Broadway League. It is the philosophy of both organizations that everyone, regardless of disability, should have access to the performing arts.

Theatre Access NYC helps you easily find accessibility information on current Broadway shows including:

  • Live and pre-recorded audio description
  • Live open and preprogrammed closed captioning
  • Sign language interpretation
  • Autism-friendly performances
  • Wheelchair seating locations and accessible path of travel details
  • Availability of assistive listening devices
  • Ticket purchasing options
