Accessibility Membership
TDF Accessibility Programs provide a membership service for theatregoers who are hard of hearing or deaf, have low vision or are blind, cannot climb stairs or require aisle seating or wheelchair locations.

Autism Friendly Performances
In a judgement-free and supportive environment, TDF presents autism-friendly performances of Broadway shows for people on the autism spectrum and their families and caretakers, as well as other people with developmental or cognitive disabilities or sensory sensitivities.

Accessibility Program for Students
For students who are hard of hearing or deaf, TDF simultaneously provides sign language interpreting and open captioning. For students with low vision or are blind, TDF provides live audio description.

Veterans Theatregoing
TDF partners exclusively with veteran group organizations in the city who distribute a limited number of tickets to Broadway shows at no cost to their constituents.
Theatre Access NYC
Theatre Access NYC is brought to you by TDF (Theatre Development Fund) and The Broadway League. It is the philosophy of both organizations that everyone, regardless of disability, should have access to the performing arts.
Theatre Access NYC helps you easily find accessibility information on current Broadway shows including:
- Live and pre-recorded audio description
- Live open and preprogrammed closed captioning
- Sign language interpretation
- Autism-friendly performances
- Wheelchair seating locations and accessible path of travel details
- Availability of assistive listening devices
- Ticket purchasing options

Access Support for Companies
TAP Plus Grant
The TAP Plus Program, which is administered by TDF, provides Grants of up to $5,000 to eligible organizations in New York State.
Accessibility Resources
Sharing best practices and lessons learned, Lisa Carling, Director of TDF Accessibility Programs, spoke on the “Disability, Diversity and Inclusion: Broadway Master Class” panel as part of the United Nations 14th Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This event took place on June 18, 2021.

TKTS Accessibility Policy
Our TKTS Patron Services Representatives and ticket sellers are happy to assist people with disabilities. We can assist people with mobility, vision and auditory concerns in a variety of ways.
